Scott Dadich
Scott has spent three decades working across design, technology, journalism, and storytelling. He was creative director of Texas Monthly before joining Condé Nast as creative director of WIRED. In 2010 he was named vice president of editorial platforms and design, leading the company’s first integrated digital strategy across titles including GQ, The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, and Vogue. He returned to WIRED as editor-in-chief in 2012. During his tenure, WIRED won eight National Magazine Awards, four for design. His work as an editor connected technology and design to larger questions about society and power, including interviews he conducted with President Barack Obama, in office, and Edward Snowden, in exile.
In 2017, he co-founded Godfrey Dadich Partners, bringing journalistic rigor together with brand strategy and design. He served as CEO for nine years and advised organizations including Apple, Netflix, Google, Nike, JPMorgan Chase, and the Obama Foundation. The firm was acquired by kyu three years after launch.
Scott created and executive produced Abstract: The Art of Design, the Emmy-nominated Netflix series that won the International Documentary Association Award for Best Episodic Series. In 2020, Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum awarded him the National Design Award for Communication Design.
Scott is co-founder and CEO of Racewknd Studio, an officially licensed partner of Formula 1, working with teams, promoters, circuits, and brands across sport, luxury, and media. He is a venture partner at Hannah Grey and serves on the board of The People’s Portfolio. He also sits on the advisory board of the Bay Area Host Committee, the permanent civic commission that brought NBA All-Star Weekend, Super Bowl LX, and the FIFA World Cup to the region within 18 months, and now works to make the Bay a standing destination for events at that scale.
